Southerner single shot derringer in 41 caliber , serial 9776 . This gun has a 2 1/2 inch octagon barrel that is marked :" SOUTHERNER" . The left side is marked: " BROWN MFG CO / NEW SOUTHPORT MASS . " The barrel and hammer have 75% of the blue that is turning brown with some shiny spots and no pitting or damage . The brass frame has a nickel finish with 85% remaining with some brass showing through and thinning in some spots . The walnut grips are no cracked but have a couple of small chips at the bottom and 75% of the original varnish. The gun is in very good mechanical working order .
