Maynard 20 guage shotgun 1865 and 22903 . The first serial was for when gun was a rifle , the second number is added when the gun was converted to a shot gun by the military in 1882 . The gun has a 22 inch barrel that is 20 % octagon and 80 % round. The left side of the frame " EDWARD MAYNARD / PATENTED / MAY 27 1851 /DEC. 6 1859 / 1873 ". The right side is marked " MANUFACTURED /BY MASS ARMS CO / CHICOPEE FALLS 1882 ". The gun has 85 % of the blue that is mixed with brown . The gun is in very good mechanical working order with very little wear . The bore is shiny with some mixed light grey . # 4710 . 32.00 S&H via USPS. 3 Day Inspection. See Pictures .
